Vauxhalls Catching Fire! 130 so far gone up in flames!

225,000 Vauxhall Zafiras are thought to be ‘at risk’ after 130 of them have caught fire over recent months/years.

Early investigations suggest a potential fault with the heating fan, pollen filter and resistor in cars repaired using a “non-Vauxhall approved” component.

Nearly 10,000 people have joined a Facebook page to discuss their fires etc

Zafira Owners Offered Free Check / Replacement

  • Anyone with a Vauxhall Zafira model built between 2005 and 2014 is invited to arrange a free inspection with their local Vauxhall dealership
  • Vauxhall will replace the resistor free of charge in every vehicle

Smoke comes through the dashboard vents and within a few minutes the car’s on fire.

People fortunately have got time to pull over, stop and get out of the vehicle.

We haven’t had any cases yet of an accident or injury – to our knowledge – as a result of all of this but, yes, of course it’s serious.
