Paramount films are behind iconic films like Titanic, Forest Gump, Saving Private Ryan, Top Gun, Bee Movie, Mission Impossible, Transformers, Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, Iron Man, World War Z, Thor and so many more classic films.

Most likely rides will relate to their superb collection of action films like Transformers, Mission Impossible and Top Gun that Paramount has but the company have supposedly signed deals with BBC Worldwide, Aardman Animations (Wallace and Grommit, Chicken Run etc) and the British Film Institute so we may see shows like Doctor Who as well.

Have you ever been to Alton Towers and paid full price?

Where is it going to be located?

Dartford, Kent. With up to 40,000 visitors per day it would be quite the tourist attraction.

What will be in the park?

Inside the 872-acre theme park (equivalent of 489 football pitches) they’re planning the usual rollercoasters, food outlets and hotels but also a theatre, exhibition centre and a night club.

Humphrey Percy , group CEO of the project’s parent company Kuwaiti European Holdings said:

“We’re working with world class theme park design companies to make sure that we have a real attraction. I’m talking about companies that have their headquarters in California and support the major film studios and attractions across the world.”

“We will make sure that this experience is for the whole family. It’s going to be a very amazing and exciting thing for them.”

An estimated 33,000 jobs will be created, and around 55 per cent of these roles are expected to be filled by people in the “immediate area”.

Where can we learn more about this?

Important things to remember with everything we post:

  • If you earn over your personal allowance (currently £12,570 a year) HMRC need to get their % cut (even if the money is in cash or from another country)
  • If you’re working for yourself / earning an income on the side you need to let HMRC know – There are numerous benefits but also some drawbacks
  • You need to always ensure whatever you’re doing is legal and not hurting anyone else – be careful and always think twice
  • Some income streams may require you to have DBS check, licence, insurance or qualifications before you can start to profit from it, do your research.
  • Be careful that any additional income doesn’t compromise your studies or main income/job
  • If you work for a company check your contract, if you don’t inform them you’re working on other side projects outside of work they may have grounds to ownership on this work
