Here’s something to stick in your diary. O2 Priority Moments offer a free hot drink every single Tuesday. They’ve actually been doing this for quite some time now, but you might not have noticed. What with all the deals that are available on the app, sometimes a few of the very best ones just so happen to end up slipping through the net.
So, what do you have to do to get yourself a free coffee? Well, first of all, you need to get an O2 number. (Don’t panic if your main mobile number is not registered to O2. There is, of course, another way to make sure that you get one!) Once you have it, it’s simply a case of remembering to pop in once a week and use the code to collect your free drink.
Hint: You have to use the deal before 3pm but going in at lunch time can often be tricky business since the cafe will be so busy. Head in as early as possible to make sure you nab your drink.

Make fresh coffee on the go
One of the main reasons that we all end up splashing out on coffee when we’re out and about is because we value the taste of a freshly brewed cup. Well, what if you could make that no matter where you were? No, I’m not talking about instant coffee… because that is, frankly, disgusting. Instead, I’m talking about actually making coffee on the go using a travel press. If you haven’t heard of one of these beauties before now, you’re in for something of a treat.
In short, the travel press means that you can brew coffee when you’re on the go. It has a built-in filter just like ones that you might see in a standard cafetiere, but other than that, it’s just like a standard flask. What that means is that you can add coffee to the flask, plunge it to filter, and drink it out of the same container. Genius, right? Investing in one of these little things could save you loads of cash and means that you get French press no matter where you are.

Okay, so you’re not a millionaire, and so you may not shop at Waitrose every single day. Still, getting yourself a myWaitrose card might just pay off all the same. When you have the card, you can pop into Waitrose for a free coffee (or tea) whenever you like… Well, they say, whenever you shop. Getting a takeout cup is best really. If you plan to drink the coffee in their cafe, they politely ask that you buy something to go alongside it. However, getting the drink to take around the store with you will mean that you don’t have to deal with this awkward little problem. Hurrah! Collect some points along the way!
If you’re the kind of person who knows just how they like their coffee, you might just have a favourite cafe! From Caffe Nero to Costa, there are way too many coffee shops on the high street right now that you might not even know where to start. If you tend to visit the same ones time and time again, you really should have a loyalty card. Not having one is a huge mistake! When you start collecting points on these things, they all too quickly add up, which means that you could bag yourself a whole load of free coffees along the way.
So, which cafes have the best loyalty schemes for you? Well, Caffe Nero have a ridiculously easy card that you can use. Basically, all you need to do is collect stamps (yeah, there’s no registration process) on a little disposable card. Once you fill it up with stamps, you can trade the card for a free drink of your choice.
Costa’s Coffee Club is a little more complicated, but still worth signing up to. With this one, you need to register online and then start collecting points. You get five points for every pound you spend and those five points are worth 1p. That does mean that you need to collect a whole load of points before you start spending but, hey, free coffee is free coffee at the end of the day. What’s more, you get 100 free points when you sign up, which means that you’ll already be ahead of the game!
Of course, most mainstream coffee shops have these loyalty schemes, and so it’s worth taking the time to see what your favourite ones have to offer. You will have to remember to scan your card or get it stamped each time you visit, but it will be worth it when you’re sipping that tasty free coffee at the end of it all.

Take your own flask to Starbucks
Some of us just can’t resist the unique blend of a Starbucks cup of coffee! Still, that great taste comes at a large price. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could have the exact same drink without having to fork out quite so much money for it? Of course, it would! Luckily, there is a secret hack that you might want to try which will save you money every single time that you treat yourself to a cheeky Americano or even a latte.
As part of their commitment to reducing their environmental footprint (hear, hear!), Starbucks offer a discount to people who decide to bring their own cups or flasks to the store. So, every time you take your own flask, you will save a whopping 25p off the cost of your cup of coffee. While that may not sound like all that much, if you happen to frequent this cafe, the pennies will soon add up. Buying a flask (which is a one-off purchase) could mean that you save yourself more money on your drinks than ever.

Don’t buy takeout coffee from a cafe
It shouldn’t come as any huge surprise that the cheapest takeout coffees on the high street do not come from cafes. If you want to bag yourself a real deal, you might want to look further afield. From fast food places to bakeries, many other places also sell coffee that you can takeaway. What’s more, since hot beverages are not their main game, you will often find that they are much cheaper than you might find them elsewhere. So, where should you be going?
Well, one of our recommendations quite odd. It’s not all about burgers and fries, you know? Still, McDonalds is a great place to get yourself some freshly brewed coffee without paying through the nose for the pleasure. A standard Americano costs less than £2 in most stores, which means that you could get a real bargain. What’s more, you could get yourself down to Greggs where the same drink will cost you just around the same price, depending on where in the country you are.
Get 50p coffee every Wednesday
Finally, here’s a great little coffee deal that not many people actually know about. If you head to Giraffe on a Wednesday morning, you will pay just 50p for your drink. Yeah, you read that right… 50p. There’s really no way you can sniff at a deal like this one so let’s find out the details, shall we?
The deal is available until 10.30, which means that you’re going to need to head there right before work and is limited to one per person. It’s only available at certain restaurants around the country all of which are listed on the main site, and so it’s worth checking whether your nearest one runs this deal or not. Once you know, you can go grab yourself a cheap as chips (actually cheaper than chips!) drink every single hump day. What could be better than that, eh?
