Waitrose brings back the ‘FREE’ Coffee Promotion for customers

After launching in 2013 the free hot drink promotion has been a hit with MyWaitrose card holders, in 2017 they had to tighten the rules to require you to spend a minimum amount in-store first and then in 2020 the whole scheme was cancelled due to the Pandemic, now on November 7th 2022 the scheme returns, however, they’ve now partnered with Caffè Nero to supply the coffee beans!

You will be able to claim a free Americano, latte, cappuccino or tea once a day when you make a purchase (although there will be no minimum spend needed to claim the deal), and non-myWaitrose members will also be able to purchase drinks – with tea from £2.25 and coffees from £2.35. A trial scheme took place earlier this year and free coffee will be reintroduced at all 331 stores on November 7th.

Caffè Nero App users will also be excited to know they’re able to receive benefits in branches of each chain!

You can sign up for a free MyWaitrose Membership here, you will get personalised offers, and exclusive savings (e.g. 20% off meat and cheese counter & 20% off fish counter on a Friday, free in-store Magazine).

What are the BEST reusable Coffee Cups?

Charlotte Di Cello, Commercial Director for Waitrose explained:

Our customers loved the myWaitrose free coffee offer, so we’re really excited to bring it back, with premium beans from The Nero Roasting Company.

The partnership is an ideal fit, helping customers enjoy quality coffee both in store or at home – with even more benefits in the pipeline.

Important things to remember with everything we post:

  • If you earn over your personal allowance (currently £12,570 a year) HMRC need to get their % cut (even if the money is in cash or from another country)
  • If you’re working for yourself / earning an income on the side you need to let HMRC know – There are numerous benefits but also some drawbacks
  • You need to always ensure whatever you’re doing is legal and not hurting anyone else – be careful and always think twice
  • Some income streams may require you to have DBS check, licence, insurance or qualifications before you can start to profit from it, do your research.
  • Be careful that any additional income doesn’t compromise your studies or main income/job
  • If you work for a company check your contract, if you don’t inform them you’re working on other side projects outside of work they may have grounds to ownership on this work
