► Extra tip: Generally pre-packed bags of fruit/veg is more expensive than loose ones but a dirty trick most supermarkets play is by increasing prices on loose and reducing pre-packed from time to time.

To get around this always compare the £/kg prices and if unsure use the scales or better still the electric scales (which also work out the price for you).

It’s amazing the price difference in Wait0rse for instance, putting the 3 pack of onions on the scales and printing the price of what they would cost loose blew us away! A 30p saving!
