Ben & Jerry’s Cookie Dough 500ml recall due to metal inside tubs!

Ben & Jerry’s have placed nationwide newspaper adverts stating they’re recalling 500ml pots of Cookie Dough ice-cream due to a risk of metal pieces in the tubs.

  • Only tubs with the batch codes are affected: L62110L011, L62111L011, L62112L011 AND L62113L011.
  • Ring 0800 146 252 if you have one and they will send you a ‘sorry’ voucher for a replacement tub
  • Don’t eat the product and dispose of it in the bin

Ben & Jerry’s internal quality assurance checks have shown that a limited number of Ben & Jerry’s Cookie Dough 500ml products may contain small pieces of metal.

“The company has identified a specific production period during which [the ice cream] may have been affected and, as safety remains a top priority, Ben & Jerry’s is voluntarily recalling four batch codes of Cookie Dough 500ml.

“As a precaution, everyone with a 500ml tub of Ben & Jerry’s Cookie Dough in their freezers should check the batch number of the bottom of their tub to make sure it’s not affected and, if it matches the batch numbers [affected], they should not eat the product and, instead, we ask them to discard the product in the usual household bin.”
