Xbox Game pass (£7.99, €9.99 or $9.99 per month) is a new Netflix-style system that launches June 1st, Xbox Live Gold members can access it immediately on a 2-week trial. There are currently 111 games available – 40 on Xbox One, 24 on Xbox 360 and 47 on Xbox Live.
This isn’t a streaming service though, you “download and play those games at full fidelity,” (Mike Nichols), so you might want to buy an external hard drive that will work with your Xbox!
Xbox Game Pass will be available in at least 30 Xbox markets at launch including the UK, if you wish to permanently own a game you will get an ‘exclusive’ discount knocking at least 20% off the list price.
Xbox Game Pass will only be available on Xbox One. While some Xbox 360 backwards compatible games will be included in Xbox Game Pass, those titles will not be available on the Xbox 360 console via your subscription.
