Blimey. For the last 15 years, we’ve worked to share great deals, call out scams, and help people save both time and money. Hundreds of thousands of you have saved millions of pounds through our posts, but a few comments can still knock the wind out of our sails.
Today’s Lidl Mystery Box post caused a stir, with some shouting “scam!” but it’s not. The link we shared is official, confirmed by Lidl and multiple newspapers. Don’t believe us? Check Lidl’s own Instagram, it’s the same one.
Yes, there were only 1,500 boxes, laughably few given how many people are trying to get one. But calling it a scam just because it sold out, or without checking the facts, doesn’t help anyone. In fact, it hurts small businesses like ours that work hard to share genuine deals every day.
If, for some reason, you've been double-charged or charged but no order confirmation, never received your order from last year, or god forbid, clicked another link that's not the one we or Lidl posted, then speak with Lidl, they have customer service teams who can investigate &/or speak with your card company to request a chargeback.
Equally, if you (like us) weren't quick enough, then we're sorry, don't shoot the messenger.
We always check what we post, we’d never risk your trust or our business. Thanks for sticking with us and helping make this community what it is ❤️
