Obviously the best technique is getting the place that offers a 5 year warranty to price match the place with the 2 year warranty but sometimes this isn't an option so how much extra would you be willing to spend? 5%, 15% or 30%?

If you've not already done it, now is the time to change the water in your Valentine's Day flowers and recut the stems at an angle to keep them looking fresh. Doing this and adding more food can help them last a good 2-3 weeks in our experience (obviously, this depends on the quality and age of the original flowers).

p.s. If you don't have any extra flower food around you can make it yourself, simply mix:
🌹 ½ litre of fresh water.
💐 1 and ½ teaspoons of white sugar (the stuff you normally put in your tea).
🌹 1 teaspoon of lemon juice (if you don't have lemon juice miss this step)
💐 1 and ½ teaspoons of clear bleach (handle with care as per the label), if you don't have clear bleach, putting a copper penny in the vase will also help.

Alternatively:
🌹 60ml of full fat Lemonade or 60ml of diet lemonade mixed with 1 and ½ teaspoons of white sugar
💐 ½ litre of fresh water
🌹 1 and ½ teaspoons of clear bleach (handle with care as per the label).

Alternatively:
💐 Mix 3 Tablespoons of Sugar and 2 Tablespoons of White vinegar with ½ litre of fresh water.
