15 Pro Tips to MAXIMISE YOUR SAVINGS with Amazon Prime Big Deal Days

15 Pro Tips to MAXIMISE YOUR SAVINGS with Amazon Prime Big Deal Days

1) Create a list of products you actually need/want and their prices, so you’re ready for next Tuesday/Wednesday, you can also check the price history on sites like CamelCamelCamel (we do this automatically for all deals we post) so you know the price you’re comfortable to buy at.

2) Understand the available promotions you can claim BEFORE the big day (right now you can claim up to £33 in free credit), selected accounts only:
£15 off £30 (Sign-in to app)
£15 off £30 (Photo Backup)
£3 off £10 (Pickup location)

3) Check the early deals and order before they sell out!
See the deals (e.g. loads of Amazon devices are live now).

4) Understand your legal rights, you have 14 days to return products purchased online so if it drops in price after buying or you simply change your mind remember you have options, often Amazon will offer a price promise so you normally don’t need to do anything to automatically get a refund on the difference (terms will apply and we don’t know if this actually will apply this year so check before buying).

5) Remember that we do know there will be some deals from top-notch brands like LG, Sony, Bose, Shark, and Tefal, with the lowest prices of the year so far on selected products from Stanley, Barbie, and Silentnight! But that’s not all – you’ll also find fantastic savings from small businesses across the UK. And the best part? New deals will keep popping up throughout the event and we will be posting them all here, so there’s always something new (& decent) to snag.

6) Consider buying something that’s open-box, used or refurbished to save even more money (big caveat is that your warranty is normally only 30 days so sometimes it’s not worth the price drop).
Learn more (now known as Amazon Resale).

7) Make sure you’re actually logged in to Amazon via the browser on your phone / Facebook etc, you don’t want to miss a great deal because you’re logging in.

8) Remember you can share Prime benefits with Amazon Household

9) Check your personal offers page for discounts and promotions you might be able to claim

10) Claim a FREE Deliveroo Plus account if you’re a Prime member to save on delivery fees etc, learn more on

11) Remember just because it’s on Amazon doesn’t mean it will be the best deal, plenty of other brands are jumping on the bandwagon and offering great deals across these days now, again watch this space for the best deals of the week, you can also join us on our messenger chat for deal alerts!

12) Consider buying for future purchases to save now, e.g. Christmas purchases, again see Rule #1 to ensure it’s actually what you want/need.

13) See if there are Trade-In offers available to save more money

14) Look out for the Red ‘Time Limited’ Banners on products, these normally showcase great savings on products and key deals.

15) Remember to check the Amazon vouchers page and see if they work on top of other deals! Check the available vouchers on

We will be working from midnight on Tuesday until 2am, then from 6am all day. Important things to remember with everything we post:

  • If you earn over your personal allowance (currently £12,570 a year) HMRC need to get their % cut (even if the money is in cash or from another country)
  • If you’re working for yourself / earning an income on the side you need to let HMRC know – There are numerous benefits but also some drawbacks
  • You need to always ensure whatever you’re doing is legal and not hurting anyone else – be careful and always think twice
  • Some income streams may require you to have DBS check, licence, insurance or qualifications before you can start to profit from it, do your research.
  • Be careful that any additional income doesn’t compromise your studies or main income/job
  • If you work for a company check your contract, if you don’t inform them you’re working on other side projects outside of work they may have grounds to ownership on this work
