♻️ Get Your Tubs to the Pub and Make a Difference! 🍫🍪

The festive season may be over, but your leftover chocolate, biscuit, and cracker tubs don’t have to go to waste! Instead of throwing them away, take part in Greene King’s ‘Tub2Pub’ recycling campaign and make a difference (they send them off to recycling centre who pay them and then donate this money to charity).

📅 When? 1st January – 16th February 2025
📍 Where? Any Greene King pub, restaurant, or hotel

What is Tub2Pub?
Greene King is collecting empty plastic tubs to recycle them and raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. In 2024, this campaign recycled over 150,000 tubs, raising a fantastic £12,600 for charity. This year, with your help, we’re aiming even higher!

How Does It Work?
1️⃣ Clean and sanitise your tubs (think chocolate, biscuit, and cracker tubs—no leftovers, please!).
2️⃣ Take them to your nearest Greene King managed location and hand them to a member of staff.
3️⃣ Greene King will send your tubs to a recycling centre where they’ll be shredded and repurposed into new products, raising money for Macmillan in the process.

➜ Will it cost me anything?
Nope! Dropping off your tubs is completely free.
➜ What’s in it for me?
You’ll be helping the planet by recycling hard-to-recycle plastics AND raising money for a brilliant cause.
➜ What do I need to do with my tubs?
Make sure they’re clean, empty, and sanitised before you drop them off.
➜ Where do I drop my tubs off?
Just ask a member of staff at your nearest Greene King pub for guidance—they’ll let you know the exact spot.
What type of tubs can I bring? Any clean, empty plastic confectionery and cracker tubs!
➜ Do Greene King make any money from this?
No, all profits from the sale of the recycled plastic go straight to Macmillan Cancer Support. (Although you’re welcome to stay for a pint and a meal while you’re there!
➜ How are the tubs recycled?
They’re sent to DCW Polymers, shredded, and sold to manufacturers to create new recycled products. Every penny of profit from the sale of the plastic goes to Macmillan Cancer Support.
➜ What about logistics?
Greene King collects the tubs in collaboration with DCW Polymers and co-cre8. The tubs are picked up from locations in February, with carefully planned routes to minimise emissions and road miles.
