We got this tip off from a 10ways Facebook user this week:
Hey! My MacBook Pro screen started to go a bit strange as if something was peeling off. I looked around online and seems to be the anti-UV coating on the Retina display coming off.
I was well out of warranty but spoke to the support team and they said that it was a recognised fault and that they would give me an entire new display completely free. Only took them a day to fix and they also threw in a quick clean of the keyboard, trackpad and replaced the screws underneath.
Got an email yesterday and I got £558 worth of new display for free, out of warranty! Turns out loads of people I know have the same issue and weren’t aware Apple offered free replacements!
