Waitrose Makes BIG change to their FREE Coffee Deal

Waitrose Makes BIG change to their FREE Coffee Deal

Waitrose emailed all their My Waitrose users a boring email about Terms and Conditions changing on Monday, however, hidden within the email it confirmed that from the 27th of January 2025, you’ll be able to get a FREE Nero Roasting company hot drink without buying anything in-store first, this changing from the current terms which require you to make a purchase first.

Here are the other changes:

  • You can now save 20% at the cheese counter on Thursdays.  You’ll find details of this and all other member benefits in the ‘Promotional Offers’ clause.
  • You’ll be able to get your free hot drink without buying anything in store first. Don’t forget your reusable cup!
  • We’ve streamlined the way you can use a voucher: simply select your vouchers before you checkout and they’ll be automatically applied when you scan your My Waitrose card.
  • We’ve removed any reference to daily newspaper vouchers, because this offer has now been withdrawn.
  • You can be a My Waitrose member if you live in Northern Ireland.
  • The scheme is now referred to as My Waitrose rather than myWaitrose.

Important things to remember with everything we post:

  • If you earn over your personal allowance (currently £12,570 a year) HMRC need to get their % cut (even if the money is in cash or from another country)
  • If you’re working for yourself / earning an income on the side you need to let HMRC know – There are numerous benefits but also some drawbacks
  • You need to always ensure whatever you’re doing is legal and not hurting anyone else – be careful and always think twice
  • Some income streams may require you to have DBS check, licence, insurance or qualifications before you can start to profit from it, do your research.
  • Be careful that any additional income doesn’t compromise your studies or main income/job
  • If you work for a company check your contract, if you don’t inform them you’re working on other side projects outside of work they may have grounds to ownership on this work
