If you love a freebie and don’t mind playing dress-up for your dinner, mark your calendars! To celebrate National Pizza Day, PizzaExpress is giving away free pizzas across the UK.
However, there is a specific “uniform” required to claim yours, and you’ll need to be quick off the mark. Here is everything you need to know to make sure you aren’t left hungry.
The Deal
On Monday 9th February 2026, you can get one free Classic Margherita pizza (including gluten-free and vegan options) at participating PizzaExpress pizzerias.
The “Catch” (What you need to do)
This isn’t just a walk-in-and-order deal; there are two things you must do:
Dress the part: You must be wearing a black and white striped t-shirt or jumper. Think “classic PizzaExpress chef” vibes.
Get a token: You need to snag a ‘National Pizza Day’ promotion token from the staff.
The Strategy: Don’t arrive late!
The most important thing to note is that this is not unlimited.
Each pizzeria only has 150 tokens to give away.
They are handed out on a first-come, first-served basis.
Once the tokens are gone, the free pizzas are gone. If you’re planning on a late dinner, you’ll likely miss out.
The Fine Print (The Dos and Don’ts)
Dine-in Only: You can’t get this for takeaway or through Deliveroo/Uber Eats.
No “Pimping” Your Pizza: The offer is for a plain Classic Margherita only. No extra toppings are allowed.
Specific Bases: This applies to the Classic base only. You can’t upgrade to a Romana or a Calzone for free.
Groups: Only the people actually wearing the stripes get the freebie. If you’re in a group of four but only two of you are wearing stripes, only those two eat for free!
Locations: It’s valid at most UK branches, but not at airport locations or supermarket “pods.”
Can I use other discounts?
Generally, no. You can’t stack this with O2 Priority, Tesco Clubcard, or Blue Light Card.
However, you can still use your PizzaExpress Club Rewards alongside this, provided you spend a minimum of £10 on other items (like drinks or starters). You can also earn a “stamp” on your app if your total bill hits that £10 mark.
10ways Tip: If you don’t own a striped shirt, check your local charity shop this week! Spending £2 on a second-hand tee to get a £12+ pizza is exactly the kind of “maths” we love.
