Lewis Sindle from The University of Birmingham, aged 19, correctly predicted six winners at the Cheltenham races.
However, he did spend £32.40 in total on all bets so not quite as good as first impressions.
‘I had dropped my sister at school, and on the way home I picked up a Racing Post for my Grandad and dropped into see him’
‘My Grandad worked on the race courses for around 20 years.
‘He suggested that we do an accumulator, so I sat at his house choosing for about 25 to 30 minutes.’
‘I’d like to take my family to see a musical, and also take my girlfriend on holiday next year,’ he said.
‘All my house mates are quite jealous, and loads of people have been texting me wanting to meet up for a drink since I posted it on Facebook!’
Lewis picked an average of three horses for six races, costing him £32.40, at 5 pence a line.
As Lewis placed two 5p lines in one of the races, he was entitled to 10 per cent of the £91,774 jackpot.
He’s now planning to treat his family and girlfriend Ilana to a show in London as an extra Christmas present.
