“Hey all. I read the post about trying to get a reduced rate on credit card APR. I got offered a measly 2% reduction for a year from Barclaycard. When I said no, they offered a 2 month freeze on interest. That amounts (over the same period to me with my balance) to a saving of over £200 more (worked out over the year period) than accepting the original offer. Keep trying peeps! On another note, credit card 1, Tesco, point blank refused to offer any kind of discount and suggested I look for a balance transfer. Nothing for loyalty!!”

10ways thoughts: borrowing money like this should never be relied upon and will cost you money, always try and pay off any credit card balances ASAP or consider balance transfers as a last resort.
